When we first opened in 2017, we chatted with our metal artist, Yvette at Babacool Arts, about a piece of art that captures the creative vibe of Avenue C. What would it be? A giant sun? A woman’s face?
Then one day we spotted a blue hood of a pickup in a pile of junk on the farm! Literally, the color couldn’t have been a more perfect match to our blue doors. Yvette created the Blue Goddess and captured exactly what we had in mind!
So, a lot of people ask… what does the C stand for in Avenue C?
Creative, Cool, Collaborative, Carefree, Cultural, Clever, Confident, Colorful…she is the Blue Goddess, our inspiration!
Suzanne is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Arts and has been a graphic designer for over 30 years. She is a true professional and always strives to give her clients the best creative solution possible, delivered with exemplary customer service.
Throughout her career, she worked for small-sized design agencies on large-sized corporate accounts, giving her experience on many levels. With a desire to create more artistic and creative projects, Suzanne made a career change and became an entrepreneur. She merged all of her talents together to create the magic behind the blue doors.
Here, she engages the community, enjoys bringing talented people together, is inspired by different challenges every day… and is surrounded by beautiful things!
Wife, and mother of two (and a giant-sized shop dog named Gunny), Suzanne involves her family every step of the way!
